Marie Frantz Jean-Pharuns, Founder & CEO at K.A.R.E.
Marie-Frantz Jean-Pharuns, is the Founder and CEO at K.A.R.E., a community-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting underserved and vulnerable communities in South Florida, that provides a myriad of programs and services aimed at addressing basic human needs like hunger, medical care, and homelessness.
A native of Haiti, Marie migrated to the United States at the age of 14 graduating from Miami Edison Senior High and continuing her education at Florida International University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Marie has over 30 years of experience as a public servant, is exceptionally skilled in community engagement, and has developed strong community partnerships with key community, political and private sector decision-makers throughout South Florida.
Through years of engagement with local communities, Marie saw a desperate need for support services. This need inspired Marie to form K.A.R.E. and serve as a guiding partner in transforming, educating, and helping families of marginalized communities, achieve sustainable independence.
